Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Kooko. By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Kooko.

Kooko is developed and provided by Caleero. In these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Caleero, and "you" refers to the person using Kooko.

Kooko helps you generate AI-powered recipes based on food and drinks you have available. You can take or choose a fridge photo, let Kooko detect visible items, review and edit those items, add optional preferences, and receive an AI-generated recipe suggestion.

Kooko is designed for meal inspiration and recipe generation. It is not a medical, nutrition, allergy, or food safety service.

You are responsible for how you use Kooko and any recipe generated by it.

Before preparing or eating anything, you must check:

• ingredients and allergens;
• expiration dates and food freshness;
• storage conditions;
• cooking instructions and cooking temperatures;
• packaging labels;
• whether the recipe is appropriate for you.

Do not rely only on Kooko when making food safety, allergy, nutrition, medical, religious, or dietary decisions.

Kooko uses AI to detect fridge items and generate recipes.

AI can make mistakes. It may:

• miss items or identify items incorrectly;
• misunderstand quantities;
• generate a recipe using wrong assumptions;
• suggest unsuitable cooking steps;
• provide inaccurate timing or preparation instructions.

AI-generated recipes are provided for general informational and inspirational purposes only. They are not professional advice. Review all AI results carefully before using them.

Kooko's AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. Kooko does not verify nutrition values, allergens, ingredient labels, food freshness, storage history, safe cooking temperatures, or whether a recipe is appropriate for a medical condition, pregnancy, allergy, intolerance, dietary restriction, or personal health goal.

Any nutrition, portion, timing, ingredient, or cooking information is provided for general meal inspiration only. You must use your own judgment and, where needed, consult a qualified professional before relying on a recipe or suggestion.

You may take or choose fridge photos so Kooko can detect visible food and drink items.

You agree not to intentionally upload images containing:

• people, faces, or children;
• private documents, payment cards, government IDs, or medical documents;
• illegal, harmful, or abusive content;
• content you do not have the right to upload;
• anything unrelated to food, drinks, cooking, or fridge use.

If an image does not appear to contain food or drinks, Kooko may reject it or return an error.

Kooko may allow you to add dietary restrictions, preferences, allergies, or hard avoids. We try to use this information when generating recipes, but we do not guarantee that any recipe is safe or suitable for allergies, intolerances, medical conditions, religious dietary rules, ethical dietary rules, or personal restrictions.

If you have a serious allergy, medical condition, or strict dietary requirement, do not rely on Kooko as your only source of information.

Kooko does not inspect, test, or verify your food.

Kooko does not know whether your food is:

• expired, spoiled, contaminated, or stored correctly;
• safe to eat;
• cooked to a safe internal temperature.

You are responsible for deciding whether food is safe to use. Do not eat food that looks, smells, feels, or seems unsafe, even if Kooko includes it in a recipe.

Kooko is free to download, but access to main functionality requires paid access. Subscriptions may include a free trial where offered.

Payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds for iOS purchases are handled through Apple In-App Purchases and the App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through your Apple account before the renewal date.

We do not control Apple's billing system and do not receive your full payment card details. You are responsible for managing your subscription through your Apple account settings.

We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of Kooko at any time. We may also update the app to improve functionality, security, performance, or compliance with platform rules.

Some features may require an internet connection, an active subscription, or access to third-party services. We do not guarantee that Kooko will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.

You agree not to:

• misuse, overload, reverse engineer, exploit, or interfere with Kooko;
• bypass payment, subscription, security, or access systems;
• use Kooko for illegal, harmful, abusive, or unsafe purposes;
• upload content you do not have permission to use;
• use Kooko to generate harmful, unsafe, abusive, or illegal content;
• interfere with Kooko's services or service providers.

We may restrict access if we believe Kooko is being misused.

Kooko's app, design, branding, code, features, and original content belong to us or our licensors. You may use Kooko for personal use according to these Terms.

You may not copy, resell, modify, distribute, or create a competing product from Kooko without permission. Recipes generated for you may be used by you for personal purposes, but Kooko itself and its underlying systems remain ours.

Kooko uses third-party services to operate, including services for AI processing, backend storage, subscriptions, payments, paywalls, and web analytics. These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, but we use them to help provide Kooko.

Kooko does not provide:

• medical, nutrition, allergy, food safety, fitness, or health advice;
• professional cooking advice;
• religious dietary certification.

Any recipe, suggestion, timing, portion, or instruction generated by Kooko should be reviewed using your own judgment.

Kooko is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not promise that:

• Kooko will always work perfectly;
• AI results will always be correct;
• recipes will always be safe, healthy, suitable, or complete;
• detected fridge items will always be accurate;
• Kooko will meet every expectation or be available at all times.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for losses, damages, injuries, allergic reactions, illness, food safety issues, subscription issues, missed items, incorrect AI results, or other problems caused by your use of Kooko or reliance on its outputs.

This includes issues caused by:

• incorrect ingredient detection or inaccurate recipes;
• expired or unsafe food;
• allergens or improper cooking;
• user mistakes;
• third-party service failures;
• app interruptions or errors.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

Your use of Kooko is also covered by our Privacy Policy.

You may stop using Kooko at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if you break these Terms, misuse Kooko, bypass payment systems, or use Kooko in a harmful or illegal way. If access ends, some sections of these Terms will still apply, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and payment-related terms.

We may update these Terms when Kooko changes or when legal, platform, or business requirements change. The latest version will be available in the app or on our website.

Your continued use of Kooko after the Terms change means you accept the updated Terms, where permitted by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise. If a dispute happens, we will first try to resolve it informally through support.
